A Closer Look at the EWHP: Project Staff, Part II

Hi all,

I’m Stella, EWHP’s Research Assistant, and the person that updates this blog regularly.

I’m primarily responsible for coordinating our research volunteers, spearheading research, and spreading the word on the Project. Like the Project Coordinator, Lori Osborne, I also have many other tasks. Sometimes, it feels like I do the jobs of many different people. Today, for example, I had a meeting with members of one of our Project Partners, the Evanston Public Library; spent a significant amount of the morning with data entry; started to craft a small article about the project that will be featured in the Evanston History Center’s newsletter, Timelines; revised some research forms to hand out to our volunteers when we meet next; and wrote this blog. This is the life of a public historian. We wear many hats. It’s definitely one of the perks to my job, however, as no day is the same. Plus, I get to hone many different skills in the course of one week.

If you are interested in volunteering, or what to learn more about the project, do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]
