The Evanston Women’s History Project (EWHP) at the Evanston History Center is a collaborative community effort begun in 2007 to document and celebrate women and women’s organizations that have made significant contributions to Evanston history. The project has completed work on: a research database of Evanston women and women’s organizations, women’s history curriculum for local schools, tourism materials, and a women’s history exhibit.
The Evanston Women’s History Project has been generously supported by the Evanston Community Foundation (ECF) over the years. Both in its initial funding as a three year project, and then most recently with a 2019 grant to update this website. Thank you to ECF for its support for women’s history!
