The new EWHP exhibit is now open for viewing at the Evanston History Center!  “Lifting as We Climb:” Evanston Women and the Creation of a Community opened on Friday night March 19th to a packed house at EHC. More than 200 people joined us to celebrate Evanston’s amazing women’s history that night. We hope many more will visit in the coming months. If you missed the opening, you can see the exhibit when EHC is open for Dawes House tours — Thursday through Sunday from 1-4 pm. Guided tours and special events are also available. Just contact the us to learn more.

Thanks to everyone who made the exhibit possible — including EHC staff, interns and volunteers — Project Funders — and Project Partners. It was truly an amazing community project!

To the Creators and Supporters of the EWHP,

I was honored to be at the opening night reception. The Exhibit was wonderful, as I told everyone I saw for the rest of the weekend!
It was a thrill to feel part of the history of Evanston women by virtue of being the current president of the North End Mothers’ Club.
I would like to plan a time for our membership to have the opportunity to come and tour the exhibit.

We can easily plan a special event for your organization, Karin. Just give us a call at the history center and we can figure out what will work best. Thanks for your comment! Lori
