I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Walrath as a child. I, too, had the good fortune to be born under her care and then adopted by the fantastic duo of Alfred K. Collins and Elizabeth L. Collins of Evanston.

I am Dr. Garnett's niece. Her brother the late Dr. William F. Garnett was/is my grandfather. Currently I'm attending Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. I'm thankful to God for my great-aunt and my grandfather for being trail-blazers. I also thank EWHP for spot lighting my great-aunt and other women to lift as women of color strive to climb. May God continue to bless as you reach others through this venue. Eve Garnett
